Happy World Vegan Day! Plant-based dining continues to be one of the fastest growing trends in the world, and we’re so here for it. Need proof? Just check out all the restaurants in Las Vegas who now have three or more vegan options!
In honor of this special day, we’ve assembled our annual list of dishes you won’t believe are vegan in Las Vegas.
So, grab that bestie who says “I don’t think I would like vegan food” and have ’em try these.
7 dishes in Las Vegas you won’t believe are vegan
Green Chili Garlic Noodles, Graffiti Bao
This heaping dish of noodles comes complete with kale and crispy garlic. Graffiti Bao is one of our favorite spots in Las Vegas for Asian food for a good reason — the dishes are packed with flavor and there’s not a mock meat in sight.
The vegan options here run from bao to noodles, and we love each and every one.
Desert Gold Roll, Chikyū
The only vegan sushi restaurant in Las Vegas, Chikyū opened early in the pandemic but has gained a loyal following. The Desert Gold roll is our top pick when it comes to creative sushi. First, the presentation is stunning. Second, the taste is even better than it looks.
Think tempura-fried tofu and tapioca roll topped with shredded spicy tofu, negi (a Japanese long onion), ito togarashi, sesame, microgreens and secret sauce.
Scallion Pancakes, Black Sheep
We love scallion pancakes, but Black Sheep’s scallion pancakes go above and beyond. These come topped with spicy braised shiitake mushrooms, pickled radish, jicama and micro cilantro.
Talk about yum.
If you haven’t tried Black Sheep yet, this spot offers some incredible vegan dishes that highlight French technique in Vietnamese dishes. PS – we’ve got Chef Jamie Tran’s scallion pancake recipe to share with you, too!
Sausage Pizza, Guerrilla Pizza
We seriously can’t sing the praise of new-pizza-shop-on-the-block Guerrilla Pizza.
Located inside Hard Hat Lounge, the vegan Detroit pizzas coming out of here are some of the best vegan pizza we’ve ever had. Anywhere. The Beyond Sausage pizza is mind-blowing. Sausage is baked with Hungarian spices and then tossed onto the pie, along with your choice of veggies.
Sesame Noodles, Every Grain
If you’re craving a bowl of noodles, order the sesame noodles from Every Grain. Here, wheat noodles are tossed in a peanut sauce and topped with peanuts and cucumber for a lil’ extra crunch.
This vegan-friendly spot on E. Charleston is a tiny gem and anything vegan you order is amazing.
Frittata, Truth & Tonic
Breakfast has never tasted so good, thanks to Truth & Tonic. It’s located at The Venetian, a Las Vegas hotel on The Strip that’s vegan-friendly.
The breakfast and lunch spot is the first all-vegan restaurant on The Strip. Even better, the JUST Egg frittatas they’re making are out-of-this-world.
Plus, the spot features a ton of super healthy options, including turmeric boosts, juices, gorgeous salads, muffins and more.
Pop Tarts, The Coffee Class
@vegansbaby This Vegas ☕️shop is dope – name at end ##lasvegasfood ##lasvegastiktok ##tiktoklasvegas ##lasvegasfoodie ##veganfoodie ##lasvegasrestaurants
The Coffee Class is our favorite spot for specialty drinks and vegan pastries. Especially their vegan pop tarts. These flakey tarts are filled with fresh berries and topped with icing and oh my goodness are they good. Of course, the Eastern Ave. shop always has a vegan scone and a few savory eats as well, like grilled cheese. Plus, they’re constantly tinkering around and making vegan specials.
