The Las Vegas vegan community is have one amazing 2018.
Chef Kenny Chye of Vege-Way has opened the highly anticipated Chef Kenny’s Asian Vegan Restaurant.
Chye first charmed guests and won over omnivores and vegans alike during his run at Veggie House, and later introduced the Las Vegas’ first vegan fast food and drive-thru, Vege-Way.
Located in Las Vegas’ Chinatown neighborhood, Chye’s new venture serves vegan Chinese food (yes, you can expect some of the signature dishes you know and love from his past), along with vegan sushi, pho, ramen and more.
“I’m so excited to have this restaurant open because I can come out with a new vegan concept restaurant,” he says. “My new menu is what people are looking for. When it’s a hot day, sushi is good. A cold day, Chinese cooking is good.”
The spot alsos serve milkshakes, fruit teas and even beer and wine. Currently, the restaurant is open 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily … but don’t hold Chye to that.
“The location is perfect for me to open late,” he explains. “I think [being open] after 10 p.m. every night is good.”
It’s definitely a good time to be vegan in Las Vegas. In the next couple of months, there are at least two other plant-based restaurants opening, and more restaurants with vegan menus opening their doors. Vegan dining in Las Vegas is set to take off and we can’t wait!
