It’s that time of year again — Valentine’s Day. Which means it’s time once again for our annual top picks for romantic or upscale vegan-friendly restaurants to check out. One of the questions we get asked most is for high-end restaurants in Las Vegas with vegan options.
While Las Vegas doesn’t have a high-end all-vegan restaurant (yet), there are no shortages of restaurants that are more upscale with vegan options. Here are our top picks.
7 romantic restaurants in Las Vegas with vegan options
Valencian Gold
Valencian Gold went from a build-your-own paella joint that was fast-casual to a sexy Spanish restaurant offering a variety of vegan options. Order a craft cocktail complete with edible flowers, share some tapas and indulge in one of the two vegan paellas on the menu at this refreshed joint helmed by well-known chef Jeff Weiss.
EDO Gastro Tapas + Wine
We’ve always loved EDO, and they’re always on our list for best vegan-friendly restaurants for a special occasion. Their tasting menu is superb. It changes up every so often, and every rendition is excellent. The sultry, cozy restaurant has a cocktail cart, extensive wine list and serves up some of the best food in town courtesy of Chef Oscar Amador.
The Black Sheep
Another of our top picks, Top Chef’s Jamie Tran’s restaurant combines Vietnamese cuisine with a French twist and the results are divine. The vegan options at Black Sheep aren’t many, but what is vegan is exceptional. Whatever you do, order your own scallion pancakes. These aren’t a share. You’re welcome.
Barry’s Downtown Prime
It may be a steak house, but Barry’s Downtown Prime in CIRCA Las Vegas has a full vegan menu. Combine the sexy restaurant with sexy food and you’ve got the perfect romantic dinner. We’re partial to their truffle vegan meatloaf and vegan wine pairings they offer.
Mott 32
Despite it being known for its duck, Mott 32 also has plenty of vegan offerings that are veggie-forward. The dining room itself is super romantic and gorgeous, lending to the entire dinner experience.
Saffron, the Vegetarian Eatery
A gorgeous room coupled with gorgeous cuisine makes the new Saffron one of our top picks. Serving Asian cuisine that’s worthy of a Strip restaurant, this spot is vegetarian with a ton of vegan options.
La Strega
Chef Gina Marinelli’s La Strega features Italian fare using uber fresh ingredients including handmade pasta. Again, there aren’t a to of vegan options, but the ones they have hit the mark. We’re huge fans of the aglio e olio.
Bonus: BLACKOUT (Dining in the Dark)
BLACKOUT is a vegan restaurant (although they don’t market it as such). What makes this restaurant special, and, dare we say romantic (?) is the setting. It’s pitch black in the dining room. Service is done with night vision goggles, phones are tucked away in lockers and the experience is left to your other five senses to navigate. Romantic? Could be.
