If you’re looking for a hip, bright spot to hang out with friends or get some work done (or both, if you’re like us!), then Vesta Coffee Roasters is a vegan-friendly coffee shop in Las Vegas to check out.
The Arts District haunt which brings in all the locals doesn’t offer much in terms of vegan food (although we hope that will change), but they do offer some of the best caffeinated – and other — beverages in town. Even better, in 2022 Vesta opened a second location in Summerlin.
Let’s start with the coffee. We dig the sourcing of the green beans they use for their beverages. They are sustainably sourced and whenever possible are organic, fair trade, bird-friendly and Rainforest Alliance Certified. Order up a typical coffee/espresso/etc. or try their specialty drinks. Actually, definitely try their specialty drinks.
Our favorite is the macadamia almond latte. This rich and creamy drink features house made macadamia-almond milk. But, there’s more. We also love the Golden Milk made with turmeric, cinnamon, vanilla, black pepper and almond milk. They’ve also got matcha, teas and specials to enjoy.
To eat, order up the The Basic. It’s simple but one of the best avocado toasts in town complete with crushed red pepper, Himalayan salt and lemon. They also have some other toasts you can tweak, but The Basic is a sure bet. Other vegan options are the chia and oats, as well as the Berry Good salad that comes with red and green salanova (that’s lettuce in case you don’t feel like looking it up), fresh berries and poppy seed dressing.
