If you’re looking for affordable and tasty vegan Indian food on The Strip, Divine Dosa and Biryani is your answer.
For you locals, this spot is owned by the same team who owns Mint Indian Bistro, so it’s got street cred.
Divine Dosa is tucked into a strip mall north of most of the action on Las Vegas Blvd., but has a heaping selection of vegan and gluten-free vegan options. What’s more, their entire menu is coded to let you know exactly what is vegan, gluten-free or can be made vegan.
Score.
Las Vegas Vegan-Friendly Restaurant: Divine Dosa and Biryani
The only Indian restaurant in town to serve 30 types of dosas (albeit not all vegan) and South Indian food, Divine Dosa also offers North Indian specialties like curry, and even Indo-Chinese items.
But, their specialty is obviously their namesake — their dosas.
Vegan dosas at Divine Dosa
Cooked on a large cast iron pan, these savory Indian crepes made from a fermented batter or rice and while lentils, urad, come crispy on the edges, chewy inside. You can order them plain or get a little adventurous.
Vegan dosa options at Divine Dosa include options like plain, which is literally the dosa itself delivered to you. If you’re looking for something with a little more flavor, you can’t go wrong with an onion dosa with fried onions and spices.
Then, there are the other dosas you’ve probably never had like gonghura, a dosa made with red sorrel leaves; or the set dosa that’s a thicker, spongier dosa served with coconut chutney.
If you’re after heartier dosa, try they mysore masala. It comes smeared with a thick, red garlic chili and filled with masala, potato stuffing. There’s also the rava masala dosa, a crisp dosa made with semonlina, rice flour and all-purpose flour, and filled with potato and spices.
For a little more protein, order the pessaratu dosa, made with the protein-packed green moong dal.
But, the options don’t stop there. Divine Dosa offers nearly 20 vegan dosa options.
Vegan appetizers at Divine Dosa
Now that we’ve covered the vegan dosa options at Divine Dosa, let’s circle back to staters.
We’re big fans of the uttapam, which is a version of a dosa (of course). Coconut chutney, spicy podi powder and sambhar, a South Indian lentil veggie stew in a pigeon pea and tamarind broth come with the soft, spongy dosa.
You can order a plain uttapam, onion and tomato, masala or podi versions.
Vegan curry at Divine Dosa
What meal isn’t complete without a hot bowl of curry? At Divine Dosa, there are quite a few vegan options. Try the chettinad, a hot and spicy curry mixed with rich coconut milk or the aloo gobi, made with potatoes, cauliflower and Indian spices.
Other vegan curries at the Las Vegas vegan-friendly restaurant include chana masala (made with chickpeas), and dal tadka (made with lentils).
Finish off the curry with an order of the vegan naan.
Vegan Biryani and rice options at Divine Dosa
At Divine Dosa, there is a vegan biryani, an aromatic and flavorful rice, as well as rices including veggie fried rice and tamarind rice.

Have you ever had an Indian doughnut? Give one a try at Divine Dosa.
Medua vada is a savory doughnut you can dunk in sambar or dip into chutney. There’s also idli (pictured above) that’s a spongy, soft dough topped with spices and sides for dipping.
You can also order a vegan mango shake made with organic soy milk to wash it all down … or cut down the spice.
