With a name like Daddy’s Delights and its location tucked into the Industrial Rd. corridor, people may be wary to add it to their Las Vegas vegan dining list. But, this fast-casual spot hiding in an old strip mall holds one big secret: it’s loaded with vegan options. Loaded.
The massive menu features everything from healthy options like salads and juices to pizza pies. And, even more in between.
Start your meal with some hummus or baked falafel … or order up some curly fries because curly fries are everything. Other vegan appetizers include organic brown rice, fries, baked sweet potato, avocado or grilled veggies.
Daddy’s Delights has an extensive vegan salad selection, including our favorite — The Israeli Salad made with chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, fresh parsley, red onions, EVOO and more.
Next, there is the summery Avocado Citrus Salad with grapefruit, orange, sesame seeds and fresh mint drizzled with balsamic vinegar and EVOO.
They also have the Island Paradise Salad with organic mixed greens, avocado, mango, pineapple, sunflower seeds, red bell peppers and cilantro in a vinaigrette dressing and more options. Daddy’s Delights even has two fruit salads on the menu.
Over in the sandwiches and burgers, they’ve got both a mushroom and veggie burger (hold the mayo). In addition, they serve wraps like organic tofu, baked falafel with hummus and veggie burger varieties.
Daddy’s Delights features soy cheese and uses it on pita melts (veggie burger and organic tofu), as well as in their soy quesadilla and others (just request soy cheese).
Specialties here take the cake, though.
We love Daddy’s Famous Rice made with organic brown rice, garbanzo beans, sweet bell peppers, scallions, tomatoes and avocado thats tossed with organic seaweed, EVOO and sesame seeds.
Also, try Daddy’s Famous Quinoa with organic quinoa, sweet red and yellow peppers, scallions, tomatoes and avocado.
Other vegan dishes include whole wheat pasta with organic soy, an organic grilled tofu platter with veggies, and pizza with soy cheese.
If you’re craving super healthy, grab a nutrient packed smoothie or juice.
How have we not been here more?
