Happy Valentine’s Day! Now, I’m not really one to celebrate unless you count when I was in high school. My friends and I would show up clad in all black and wear stickers with the letters LSWAVD (aka Lonely Single Women Against Valentine’s Day). Looking back, I see how influential stuff like that was on my self esteem and worth. But hey, that’s another website, yeah?

Happily, I am reporting from a sun-laden Amtrak train today. I’m heading down to see my parents in Delaware on this very cold Valentine’s Day. Across from me is a rather arrogant dude, buzz cut a top a long face and Warby Parker glasses. Younger than me and rude in the one sentence I’ve exchanged with him. “Do you think I’m blind?” he spat when I confirmed that was his seat. But, whatever. Let me vent.

So, last night I was thinking about what to post for Valentine’s Day. There are always the “what candy can I eat if you’re” fill-in-the-blank posts. I’m sure I’ve shared on here over the years. But, I was feeling sassy and creative so instead of doing the normal yada yada, I opted for my favorite thing to do when I’m feeling inspired — create memes!

Without further ado, here ya go!

And, PS, I’m still single, definitely not lonely and against Hallmark holidays in general.
