Sweet Talk is a vegan-friendly boba and Cantonese dessert shop in Las Vegas’ Chinatown neighborhood.
Founded by Vicky Wu, the adorable shop tucked into a strip mall off of Spring Mountain offers a few vegan options.
We headed there to showcase the restaurant on The Good Fork.
Las Vegas Vegan-Friendly Dessert Shop: Sweet Talk
What’s vegan at Sweet Talk
Let’s start with the boba. You can mix and match the teas and non-dairy options and add boba to them for a sweet treat. They even come in cups you can take with you and re-use at home.
When it comes to the desserts, there are a few vegan options at Sweet Talk.
Cantonese desserts are often made with fruit and have a light sweetness to them. They can be served hot in milks like coconut, or cold with ice cubes in the milk instead.
For something unexpected, try the black sesame puree. This dish is — you guessed it — made of black sesame and soupy. It has a nutty, subtly sweet taste and a thin texture.
There’s also black sticky rick with coconut milk, which features chunks of coconut meat, red beans and black sticky rice.
If you’re looking for something to put in the ‘Gram, it’s the mango pomelo tapioca. This dish features mango, pomelo and tapioca poured into a tiny bath tub with a frozen mango mold of a teddy bear. It comes with a mango coconut milk puree to fill the tub with.
Finally, there’s the pop ball mango slushie, a dessert with mango balls, sliced mango and chia seeds in a bowl of mango smoothie.
