The popular Japanese spot on The Strip, tucked into The Park, Sake Rok, has a new! vegan! menu! And, guys, it’s good. Like, real real good. We recently visited the three-story restaurant which comes complete with DJ once the sun sets, and dug right in to the new eats.
Aside from the vegan sushi, which is the norm for vegan sushi, what we love about Sake Rok’s vegan menu are the more creative options.
We’re talking a starter of Avocado Toast Crispy Rice (as well as some sushi) and then moving straight into the filling stuff like — our hands down most favorite thing on the menu — the Mushroom Tobanyaki. Don’t. Miss. This. Seriously. It’s a gorgeous plate of mushrooms (maitake, shiitake, oyster and porcini if you want the nitty gritty) with Yuzu-Tamari and topped with a dreamy, thick coconut milk sauce on top. Or, try the Grilled Cauliflower which comes complete with bok choy and crispy tofu in a miso vinaigrette. Or, order the Grilled Tofu Steak. Because you can never have enough good eats at a Japanese restaurant.
Maybe bring some friends to help eat every option on the menu. But, definitely go.
