Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab

  • August 2, 2019
  • Las Vegas Vegan Dining

It’s exciting to see more and more Las Vegas steakhouses and fine dining establishments begin to offer vegan options. Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and & Stone Crab is one of those vegan-friendly options in Las Vegas. The high-end restaurant — perfect for date night on The Strip — is located in the Forum Shops (pro tip: park in the valet just off of Las Vegas Blvd.; the entrance to the restaurant is right inside and it is significantly less money than to pay to park at Caesars).

Joe’s makes it easy to discover the veggie items on their menu with an entire page dedicated to the vegetarian and vegan options.

The vegan starter at Joe’s is their mixed greens with vinaigrette. It’s a pretty typical mixed green salad, but it gets the job done.

For your main course, the roasted cauliflower steak is the vegan option. This twist on the normal cauliflower steak offers up unique combo of fennel, apple and cilantro to give it a little more oomph.

If you’re over roasted cauliflower, don’t worry; Joe’s can also make the grilled veggie tacos vegan by ditching the cheese.

Or, if you’re craving a big plate of greens, Joe’s can veganize the popular Joe’s Chopped Salad made with tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, black olives and vinaigrette. Simply hold the feta and the honey-roasted peanuts.

In the Vegetable portion of the menu, the two all-vegan, all-the-time options are the sautéed spinach and the sautéed broccolini (which we seriously could not get enough of). The chefs are accommodating and can hold certain ingredients on some of the veggies to make them vegan — just ask.

Perhaps the best thing on the menu (mostly because hashed browns are like eating big hugs) is the Hashed Brown. This larger-than-life hashed brown comes served on a dinner plate and likely weighs a few pounds and ohmygoodness is it delicious. So, yeah, order that.

Wrap up your meal with fresh fruit or be like us and try the Caraijlo cocktail, an after dinner drink featuring espresso and Licor 43. This liquor hails specifically from the Cartagena region of Spain and features a unique blend of 43 different ingredients. This vanilla coffee drink with hints of tang will leave you slightly caffeinated (they also have decaf espresso!), slightly buzzed and entirely happy.

Forum Shops, 3500 S. Las Vegas Blvd., 89109, 702-792-9222, Sunday – Thursday: 11:30 a.m. – 10 p.m., Friday – Saturday: 11:30 a.m. – 11 p.m.

Hours of operation and menu offerings may vary due to staffing issues. Please check directly with the restaurant regarding hours and offerings.
