When it comes to discovering a steakhouse in Las Vegas with vegan options, it doesn’t get better than Barry’s Downtown Prime. Housed inside the adults-only CIRCA Resort & Casino, a new hotel in Downtown Las Vegas, Barry’s mixes old school Las Vegas swank and swagger with some of the hippest dining in town.

Before we dive into the vegan options at Barry’s Downtown Prime, we need to dive into the magnificence that is the venue itself. From a three-dimensional glowing ceiling to curated artwork by local artists, to its cozy and intimate lounge and touches of glitz and glamour, the restaurant in Circa is the epitome of a perfect date night.
At the helm of Barry’s is owner/Chef Barry S. Dukake. The Rhode Island native’s resume is impressive, spanning restaurants like Charlie Palmer Steak, N9NE Steakhouse and Scotch 80. His culinary accolades include Conde Nast Traveler naming N9NE as a “Top 100 Restaurant in the World,” and “Best Steakhouse” by VEGAS Magazine.
Dakake has cooked for the likes of Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, as well as A-list celebs like Jay-Z, Prince and Justin Beiber. So, when we say this is a great spot for vegan dining, we mean it. In fact, Barry’s has an entire vegan menu to devour.
Las Vegas Vegan-Friendly Steakhouse: Barry’s Downtown Prime
Vegan appetizers
When it comes to starters, there are a few vegan dishes at Barry’s. First, yes, you can have bread. Just let them know you’re vegan. We dig the creamy, roasted tomato soup with fresh basil, roasted garlic and a crostini for dipping.
You can also split the light and refreshing beet salad. The vibrant dish comes with baby frisee, watercress, slices of orange and toasted hazelnuts in an orange shallot vinaigrette.
Vegan main courses
Barry’s Downtown Prime offers a few vegan main courses.
Our favorite is the vegan meatloaf. Entirely plant-based, this meatloaf is a serious crowd-pleaser and includes a combo of meaty veggies and roasted potatoes in a mushroom gravy.
If meatloaf isn’t your jam, try the portobello mushroom and asparagus risotto. The mushrooms are served satueed and marinated in fennel with brussels sprouts shavings to accompany the dish.
Other options include roasted Heirloom cauliflower with toasted quinoa and pine nuts in a watercress pesto, and 15-year aged balsalmic grilled veggies.
Dessert
Finally, wrap up your meal with a lemon sorbet drizzled with olive oil.
