Las Vegas lands its first vegan market. Shop ’til you drop.

Las Vegas is finally getting an all vegan grocery store! For more vegan news, visit www.vegansbaby.com.

It’s no wonder Las Vegas has risen in the ranks and its considered one of the top 10 cities in the nation for vegan and vegetarian dining. In the past few years, the number of vegan restaurants has grown astronomically, and so has the number of restaurants adding vegan options to their menu. But, this bit of news takes the vegan cake. Set to open sometime in Oct. 2019 (we’ll let you know as soon as we know, promise) Las Vegas is getting its first vegan market, Veg-In-Out Market (2301 E. Sunset Rd.).

Las Vegas is getting its first vegan market, Veg-In-Out set to open in October 2019. For more vegan dining news, visit www.vegansbaby.com

Located nearby to one of the best spots in town for vegan pizza, The Pizza Company, and also nearby McCarran International, this new vegan grocery store comes to us courtesy of local couple Kaiti and Erik Roger (who actually met on Veggie Date, moved to Vegas in 2012 and later hired Vegan Meals by Mindy and Veganbites to cater their wedding in 2016).

“We wanted to create a place where we could find a wider array of vegan products and not have to read the labels on any of them! Like going into a vegan restaurant and being able to order everything on the menu,” says co-owner Erik Roger.

The new storefront will offer vegan favorites, soon-to-be favorites, and everyday cooking/baking must-haves for every vegan pantry. Expect items such as vegan junk food, pre-packaged frozen and refrigerated products, shelf-stable boxed, canned, and packaged food. The store is not currently planning on selling produce, but that could change down the line.

“With Veg-In-Out Market we hope to bring a sense of community between those who are currently vegan, those who are thinking of becoming vegan, and those who don’t know they’re vegan… yet,” says Erik. “We want a judgement free zone. We all start our journey to becoming a vegan in different ways and for different reasons. The important part is that we get there, and why not go to a place where there are a bunch of options?”

If you’re looking for even more vegan products, be sure to follow ShopVeganLV on Instagram or head to Go Vegan Cafe for their mini vegan market of the vegan-friendly Rainbow’s End.

Kathryn Hartwig is a senior writer for Vegans, Baby. She decided to go vegan nearly a decade ago while searching for the perfect diet to compliment her role as a professional dancer. After experimenting with multitudes of fads, she Kat found a lifestyle that turned out to be more than a diet. She settled in Vegas with her husband/photographer Daniel, and puppy, Layla, after traveling the world on cruise ships and living in New York City. The family recently welcomed the birth of their first child, a true vegan baby.
