Where to get your vegan donut fix in Las Vegas

Are you looking for a sweet start to your morning in the form of vegan donuts? While Las Vegas doesn’t have an all-vegan donut shop (yet), you can find vegan donuts in Vegas. From glazed to frosted, cream-filled to jelly-filled, cake or fritter, we’ve compiled the five best places in Las Vegas to get your vegan donut fix.

Pinkbox Doughnuts

Pinkbox Doughnuts in South Summerlin has added vegan donuts to their menu! For more vegan dining in Las Vegas, visit www.vegansbaby.com

A newcomer to Las Vegas, Pinkbox Doughnuts serves up plenty of vegan options. And just like the rest of the shop window, these aren’t your ordinary donuts.

On theme are the Pink Lemonade, a lemon-infused cake donut with raspberries, topped with lemon glaze and drizzle and the Doctor’s Orders, a Granny Smith apple and cinnamon cake donut with cinnamon sugar streusel. Our pick was the Silly Rabbit, the Pinkbox take on carrot cake. While only the South Summerlin location off of Tropicana (9435 W. Tropicana Ave.) is currently offering vegan options, we are hoping that the other locations soon follow suit.

Whole Foods

Pick up your vegan donuts at Whole Foods! For more vegan dining in Las Vegas, visit www.vegansbaby.com

No need to make two stops next Saturday morning. While crossing off your weekly grocery list at Whole Foods, stop by the pastry cabinet and grab a few vegan cake donuts. We hear you saying, “grocery store donuts, really?”. Trust us, we were surprised, too! These cake donuts are moist and light with just the right amount of sweetness. While the variety leaves us wanting more, you can enjoy vanilla, chocolate, maple, and seasonal (we had pumpkin!) iced donuts. Tip: If you are a fan of pancakes, go for the maple.

Saint Honoré

Saint Honore is a vegan-friendly cafe serving haute donuts and beverages in Las Vegas. For more vegan dining in Las Vegas, visit www.vegansbaby.com

Saint Honoré opened its doors in late spring of 2019, featuring premium, Instagram-able, “couture” donuts, and (shocker) they are pretty. The obvious choice is the vegan donut trio, created by Vegan Babe Bakery, featuring Birthday Cake, Lemon Vanilla Rose, and Oreo cake donuts. They are all self-describing, delectable, and beautiful.

Gluten sensitive vegans, you’re taken care of, too! The Lemon Vanilla Rose comes in a gluten-free option and the Lemon Blueberry donut is gluten-free. Just make sure to get a picture before you chow down!

Donut Bar

A vegan guide to the 2016 Life is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas. For more, visit www.vegansbaby.com/vegansbaby2018

Plan ahead before making the trek to Donut Bar. This shop opens at 7 a.m. , and when the donuts are gone, they’re gone for the day (and they sell out quick)!

The reason is clear. The owners of the hashtag #bestdonutsintheworld know how to make them right. While not everything is vegan, they are definitely vegan-friendly. Check out these incredible rotating flavors: Creme Brulee, Strawberry Split, Birthday Cake, The BEST PB&J, Salted Caramel, Apple Fritter, and more. And while it’s not always offered, you’ve got to see the Veganized Grilled Cheese Donut. It’s worth the early morning donut run.

Ronald’s Donuts

Vegan donuts galore! Ronald's Donuts offers two full shelves of vegan donuts. Located in Chinatown, this is the spot to get all the vegan donuts. For more vegan dining options, visit www.vegansbaby.com/vegansbaby2018

Yes, we saved the best vegan donuts in Las Vegas for last. If you’re looking for variety and that traditional donut shop feel, Ronald’s Donuts is the place to visit. This is our go-to spot, or as the owners describe it, “the original and the best!”.

As you walk into Ronald’s Donuts, you’ll notice the “cash only” sign by the register and a handful of locals claiming their booth to have their morning cup of $1.50 joe (Ronald’s does take credit for an extra fee).

From cake to cream filled, from turnovers to sprinkles, Ronald’s has it all. They’re not labeled, but the top two shelves are vegan. If you’re not sure, ask! The owners are used to it. Grab donut holes, long johns, fritters, or glazed donuts for your family or next breakfast meeting (you don’t have to even tell anyone they’re vegan, they won’t know the difference).

Bonus: Ronald’s now offers vegan ice cream courtesy of Almond Milk Creamery. Andddd, you can get them every weekend at Violette’s Vegan and all of the time at Cafe No Fur.

After experimenting with multitudes of fads, she Kat found a lifestyle that turned out to be more than a diet. She settled in Vegas with her husband/photographer Daniel, and puppy, Layla, after traveling the world on cruise ships and living in New York City. The family recently welcomed the birth of their first child, a true vegan baby.
