Finding vegan pizza in New York City is getting easier these days. Zazzy’s Pizza is vegan-friendly pizza shop with three locations in New York City. Founded by Jon Gabel, Zazzy’s first came onto the scene during the pandemic. Thanks to New York’s love for pizza, Gabel’s venture has thrived.
With the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker stopping into Zazzy’s, it’s become a hot spot for ‘za. What we love most is that Zazzy’s is using Numu vegan mozzarella for its vegan cheese, a locally-owned business that’s had astronomical growth the last few years.
They even have an entire plant-based menu that extends beyond just pizza.
Vegan options at Zazzy’s Pizza
Let’s start with the vegan pizza at Zazzy’s. The NY-style pies feature airy crusts and come topped with a healthy smothering of Numu vegan cheese on top of homemade tomato sauce. If you’re gluten-free, you’re in luck — they’ve got a gluten-free, vegan pizza.
You can also build-your-own pizza and add on veggies, plus vegan meatballs or vegan sausage.
Next up are the meatballs. Their meatless blend will have you doing a double-take, the texture and flavor are spot-on. The meatballs come swimming in marinara sauce and then topped with vegan parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
Another vegan option at Zazzy’s is the plant-based calamari. Heart of palm are cut into calamari and then battered, served fried and crispy to you. It comes with a side of lemon aioli for dipping.
They’ve also got buffalo cauliflower wings, which come with creamy ranch sauce.
Finally, Zazzy’s has vegan mozzarella sticks. These breaded sticks are filled with gooey cheese and come with marinara sauce.
If you’re at Zazzy’s new Upper East Side location (which is a part of Coming Soon Food Group’s trio of restaurants), they serve vegan sandwiches as well.
