Downtown Summerlin’s vegan options continue to expand, thanks to the addition of vegan items to the Italian restaurant, Trattoria Reggiano.
The owner’s daughter (who also is a hostess), Gigi Bonanno, went vegan in 2017. It was then the family realized the struggle of going out to eat with loved ones who are vegan.
Since it is important to this local Las Vegas family that vegans, omnivores and gluten-free guests can dine together, it made some menu changes. And we are happy they did!

Vegan Entrées at Trattoria Reggiano
Glancing at the menu, we zero in on the entrées.
Chick’n Parmigiana? Yes, please!
This veganized Italian favorite is moist on the inside with a crispy breadcrumb coating. It comes smothered in flavorful San Marzano pomodoro sauce and mozzarella. The dish is perfect to show your omni friend how good vegan food can be.
It’s served up with colorful veggies like purple potatoes, carrots and broccoli.
Trattoria Reggiano’s got you covered with another Italian staple: pizza.
In fact, the pizzas feature a vegan, made-to-order brick oven Neapolitan crust. So, feel free to pile on the vegan cheese and veggies to create your own personal pizza (that is large enough to share … if you want to).
We ordered the margherita pizza. Besides the fluffy crust, our favorite part is getting a whiff of that fresh basil before biting down.
Let’s talk cheese for a minute, because vegan cheese on pizza can be hit-or-miss. The COVID shutdown allowed for one of the restaurant’s chefs to experiment in the kitchen with vegan cheese.
The result?
A zesty, less oily pie to chow down on.
And, like any authentic Italian restaurant there is pasta. Lots of pasta! The best part? They’re all vegan!
So, pick a noodle and order them topped with the tasty pomodoro sauce, veggies and vegan mozzarella to satisfy your cravings!
Vegan dessert at Trattoria Reggiano
And speaking of cravings… we’re still dreaming of this lemon sorbet.
It’s the quintessential summer dessert. Served in a real lemon (perfect for your Insta story!) and sprinkled with blueberries, this treat melts on your tongue and is the perfect refresher when you’re out shopping at Downtown Summerlin.
