It’s time for some bowl goodness. After a brief hiatus, our favorite vegan-friendly healthy bowl spot, Purple Potato, is reopening. The new joint opens on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 10900 S. Eastern Ave.
And, it’s no longer just a lunch spot.
Purple Potato, which was previously housed inside Yonaka, is now all grown up and standing alone. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., the new and improved restaurant isn’t only serving up lunch bowls, but also expanding to cover breakfast and dinner.
According to Chef Ramir DeCastro, the goal of the restaurant is to be a destination to for the “best tasting, convenient, seasonal and affordable food that’s also good for you.”
We’ll take that. Happily.
The upgraded menu features the chef-created bowls, as well as the build-your-own option (a seriously incredible value for all the goodness you can pack in!), salads and new items like wraps, sandwiches, soups, smoothies and an expanded dessert menu.
It’s also noteworthy that the opening of Purple Potato marks a trifecta of new spots next to each other on Eastern Ave., making this little neck of the woods a vegan hotspot. Purple Potato joins the soon-to-open second location for VegeNation and the just-open Matcha House Tea & Sweets.
