Pie Roller Desserts

  • June 25, 2020
  • Dessert, Las Vegas, popup

Incredibly gorgeous, and tasty, vegan artisan pies heading your way! Pie Roller Desserts’ Instagram-worthy pies and dairy-free gelato have been popping up around Las Vegas markets, and you’re going to want to take note. This farmers market vegan pastry pop-up in Las Vegas will have you stalking all the markets.

These vegan pies are not like any other pie you’d find in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Vegan Pie Stand: Pie Roller Desserts

Pie Roller’s flaky crusts are completely packed with organic fruit or nuts and caramel, a recipe and technique passed down. Every handmade pie is stuffed with at least three types of luscious fruit in each fruit pie, making each bite a harmonious one.

The Las Vegas vegan pie stand offers a wide selection of pies, including field berry and rhubarb, peach cobbler, blueberry with lavender and cashew, pecan pie, and more.

These incredible pies are topped with decorative, flaky cutouts, crumble, or both. Sizes are 3.5-inch hand pies, 6-inch, and 10- inch.

Owner and creator Jody Stall is the woman behind these lovely treats. Her love for desserts, especially fruit, started at a young age with her Easy Bake Oven and eventually led her to culinary school and more than 20 years of experience in the industry.

After recently relocating to Las Vegas from Calgary for her husband’s job, Stall launched Pie Roller Desserts in November 2019.

“The main focus was on Farmers Markets and this was just something to do to keep me busy while we are living here in the US,” says Stall.

Our favorite pies from Pie Roller Desserts

Because of the bounty of gorgeous pie creations, it’s hard to choose only one. So, we didn’t.

For a tart treat, try the lemon blueberry pistachio shaker. This pie features perfectly tart lemon and sweet blueberries and oranges with chopped pistachio crumble.

Then, there’s the caramel s’moor. The recreation of a camping staple comes layered with chocolate coconut ganache and gooey caramel, topped with slightly melted vegan marshmallow.

Finally, be sure to check out the chocolate hazelnut Nutella brownie pie, the richest of them all. It’s a little denser than what you may associate with pies, but every bite is sinful.

Pie Roller Desserts Vegan Gelato

Need something to beat this Vegas heat? Or maybe just to top your pie off?

Pie Roller also makes vegan gelato by the pint.

These smooth and creamy pints are the chef’s own blend of coconut cream and chickpeas for extra richness and protein. (Chickpeas make the gelato appropriate for a meal replacement, right?)

Flavors include southern caramel pecan pie, double chocolate fudge cake, berry crumble, ube and toasted marshmallow, and many more.

To get your hands on these beautiful pies and creamy gelato, make sure to check out the local weekend markets in the city. Currently, Pie Roller Desserts is a vendor at the Henderson Pavilion on Fridays, Downtown Summerlin on Saturdays, and will soon be joining Fresh 52 on Eastern on Sundays.

Kathryn Hartwig is a senior writer for Vegans, Baby. She decided to go vegan nearly a decade ago while searching for the perfect diet to compliment her role as a professional dancer. After experimenting with multitudes of fads, she Kat found a lifestyle that turned out to be more than a diet. She settled in Vegas with her husband/photographer Daniel, and puppy, Layla, after traveling the world on cruise ships and living in New York City. The family recently welcomed the birth of their first child, a true vegan baby.
