Free vegan food.

Did we get your attention? To celebrate the opening of Bok Bok Chicken’s second location (and the expansion of their vegan menu), from Oct. 5 – 7, Bok Bok’s giving away their eats so you can check out their vegan food in Las Vegas. Head over to their new spot Friday from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., or Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. to check out their new vegan food at 725 S. Green Valley Pkwy.

With the opening of their second location in Green Valley this weekend, they’re introducing three new vegan-friendly items to the mix, too.

Now, Bok Bok’s offerings feature their falafel, salad, sarama and hummus, plus new vegan dishes.

First up is the tabbouleh, a refreshing chopped parsley salad with tomatoes, onions and barley marinated in olive oil, lemon juice and spices … served in romaine lettuce boats.

Second is the Mediterranean potato salad, a cold side dish tossed in oil and herbs.

The third new dish — and our must — is the quinoa salad, a fresh and healthy bite with red peppers and a little bit of heat. Like the rest of the menu, this vegan option at Bok Bok Chicken is a family recipe that the owners have been enjoying in their for generations.

Quick tip – ask for a side of Zaatar and olive oil dip to spread on your pita bread. We asked to take a little home and put it on top of everything for the next few days.

Kathryn Hartwig is a senior writer for Vegans, Baby. She decided to go vegan nearly a decade ago while searching for the perfect diet to compliment her role as a professional dancer. After experimenting with multitudes of fads, she Kat found a lifestyle that turned out to be more than a diet. She settled in Vegas with her husband/photographer Daniel, and puppy, Layla, after traveling the world on cruise ships and living in New York City. The family recently welcomed the birth of their first child, a true vegan baby.
