The line-up for November’s Meatless Monday at Essex Market features:
Nov. 8, Arancini Bros.
Crispy, lovely rice balls are Arancini Bros. specialty. The only spot exclusively selling arancini, Dave Campaniello and Giulia Della Gatta offer vegan arancini.
For Meatless Monday, they’re serving an arancini duo featuring Beyond Sausage, and cauliflower and capers.
Nov. 15, Kotti Berliner Döner Kebab
Founder Ekram Emre grew up in Berlin and wanted to bring the Berlin döner kebab to NYC when he saw there was nowhere for him to eat them here. He and his co-founder of Kotti Berliner, food industry expert Michael Stark, are offering two Meatless Monday options.
The first option is organic tofu served over salad. Second, Turkish rise with pickled red cabbage, sumac, and vegan white and red sauces.
Nov. 22, Essex Squeeze
Lifelong friends Cedric Hernandez and Charles De La Cruz’s Essex Squeeze offers healthy smoothies, juices and toasts.
For Meatless Monday, they’re serving the Acerola Bowl. The bowl comes topped with fresh strawberries, mango and chia seeds/
