Folks over in the Southwest part of Las Vegas continue to get new vegan options. The wood-fired Italian restaurant Locale is the latest to add more vegan options to its menu and become a vegan-friendly restaurant in Las Vegas.

During the pandemic, Locale’s menu was overhauled when Chef Partner Marc Marrone (who also owns one of the best Asian spots in town, Graffiti Bao, and is Chef Partner at Egg Sammie) came in and started experimenting in the kitchen.

Thanks to Marrone, there are now vegan options were added to the menu at the upscale Italian kitchen.

Las Vegas Vegan-Friendly Restaurant: Locale

Marrone went to it, toying around in the kitchen and creating a few vegan options for Locale, much to our delight.

Vegan Options at Locale

First up: the vegan pizza.

Of course, we’re talking about pizza first since we’re always on the lookout for good vegan pizza in Las Vegas.

Locale nails it, serving a bubbly crusted pizza topped that’s been fermented for three days to give it a light, airy texture. It comes topped with house-pickled peppers, roasted red onions, crushed tomatoes and rosemary. In addition to the veggie goodness, the pizza also has Miyokos cheese along with dollops of whipped vegan ricotta top finish the pie.

For those wanting a pasta dish, order the vegan pasta bolognese. Locale’s vegan bolognese celebrates nightshades with the use of eggplant and tomatoes. He also adds in mushrooms and fennel and then cooks it down with roasted tomatoes, white wine, celery and garlic.

The result?

A hearty, meaty sauce to compliment the imported Italian rigatoni that comes topped with whipped vegan ricotta.

If you’re craving some cruciferous veggies, try the roasted rainbow cauliflower. For fans of the cauliflower at Graffiti Bao, Marrone’s Italian interpretation is a must.

The roasted cauliflower features shallots, tomatoes and herbs, and adds a tangy kick provided by citrus slices. It rounds out with a pistachio pesto to add more richness.

Other options on the menu are the sides, most of which are vegan or can be made vegan.

Marrone always has something he’s working on in the kitchen, so stay tuned for more vegan goodness.
