There’s a new vegan-friendly coffee shop in Las Vegas and it’s located at The Center in Downtown. Coming from Tiffany Stiles, the powerhouse behind TIABI, The JOLT Coffee Co. (short for “Jump on the Love Train”) is serving up locally-roasted coffee and quick bites.
While TIABI has gained a reputation for their vegan waffles, JOLT hopes to garner a vegan following thanks to their toasted sammies and baked goods.
There are plenty of vegan options at JOLT, including the savory BBQ Jack Toastie Sammie (we’re huge fans), a slow-roasted jackfruit sandwich with vegan cheese, veggies and avocado aioli stuffed into ciabatta bread.
The vegan-friendly Las Vegas coffee shop also serves up sandwiches that can easily be modified so they’re vegan, including the Grown-Up Grilled Cheese on sprouted, multi-grain bread stuffed with a blend of vegan cheese, avocado and grilled onions, and the Tuscan Sammie with roasted artichoke hearts, yellow tomatoes, vegan cheese and basil on fresh ciabatta.
Bonus: JOLT also offers vegan gluten-free bread for their sandwiches.
If you’re not feeling the savory, opt for something sweet. Vegan pastries available at JOLT include the freshly-made banana chocolate chip muffin top and their signature Jammin’ Biscuit with vegan butter and sweet jam.
Or, opt for our favorite, the flakey Monkey Biscuit. This divine creation feature bananas, creamy peanut butter, chocolate chips and crunchy toasted almonds piled on a biscuit and magically topped off with drizzled coconut whipped cream.
JOLT also features a full coffee menu just like it’s counterpart TIABI. With items like The Jolt, a rich, shaken espresso drink, and the creamy Golden Milk, a turmeric latte, there’s definitely a caffeinated beverage to give you a lil’ perk.
The vegan-friendly spot also is offering a seasonal menu with eats like a hearty potato chowder, and a perfect-for-hot-weather refreshing strawberry basil lemonade to cool you off when the desert temps soar.
JOLT has other plans in the works for their vegan offerings, including a BBQ Jack Biscuit and a southern style biscuits and gravy (yes, please!). Plus, they’re launching the “Buy a Biscuit, Give a Biscuit” program which allows customers to pay it forward and buy a biscuit for someone in their community. For every biscuit purchased as a part of the program, JOLT is putting a heart on the cafe wall for someone else to claim.
“The Center facilitates to all kinds of people in the community so I hope we can form our own love train of hearts and give a little happiness to someone else in the form of a warm buttery biscuit,” says Stiles.
Like TIABI, JOLT is also set to have events including: Saturday Coffee & Comics with Plot Twist Publishing, a local indie comic book publisher and Brunch & Brushes where attendees can exercise their artistic side and paint while indulging in one of our favorite things to do, brunching.
