Recipe: The Superfood Smoothie

Shane Stuart,the former owner of GrassRoots and the soon-to-open Panacea, knows a thing or two about creating superfood smoothies. His reputation in town as the go-to raw mixologist has resulted in being tapped as an expert at schools and more to share his knowledge of packing healthy nutrients into tasty drinks and more.

Want something super healthy and delicious? Check out his Superfood Smoothie. It’s filled with bountiful servings of fruits and veggies. It’s so good, you won’t believe it’s actually healthy.

Superfood Smoothie Ingredients

  • 1 cup green grapes
  • 1/4 orange
  • Pinch collard greens
  • Handful spinach
  • 1 teaspoon flax seed
  • 1/4 green apple
  • Pinch kale
  • 1 cup ice
  • Thin slice of ginger
  • 1/2 cup honeydew

Preparation

Place all ingredients into a Vitamix or other high-powered blender and blend for one minute. Serve immediately.
