The tagline for Portion Control is “Health food redefined.” Although, we’re not entirely sure what’s redefined about it, we can say that if you’re looking for healthy vegan food in Las Vegas, Portion Control has some items on their menu which fit the bill.
Part restaurant/part meal prep service, we bopped in for the latter. Like most omni fast-casual spots in town, the vegan options here are limited, but the stuff they do have aren’t your run-of-the-mill vegan options. We’re talking vegan lasagna and Portion Control’s take on steak a la Saulsberry Steak with lentils and TVP.
There’s also a build-your-own option that includes proteins like tofu, lentils and a black bean patty, packed with a selection of veggies and base.
Finally, if you see something on the menu you want but is omni, no worries. The staff know what they are doing and can tweak a lot of the items. We dined on the Nacho Bowl and subbed the chicken for TVP. There’s also mac n cheese made with cashew cheese (skip the bacon on top), a harvest wrap/salad and other meals which can easily be made vegan.
As for the meal prep, we haven’t gotten to that yet. But, stay tuned!
