Get ready for the bar for vegan brunches to get raised once again. With the recent launch of Panacea’s stellar brunch, Blinders Burgers & Brunch officially launches its weekend brunch Labor Day Weekend … and hence a new level of vegan brunch goodness in Las Vega.
The restaurant, which opened in August, changes its fast-casual tune every Saturday and Sunday, closing down the drive-thru and operating a seated brunch fro 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., then serving lite bites while the kitchen transitions before it returns to the fast-casual operation at 2 p.m.
We got a sneak peek at the brunch and – folks – it’s one of the best we’ve ever had.
What we love most about the brunch is the diversity and creativity with their dishes, like the five-stack Bacon Pancake Pile using the Minneapolis-based Herbivorous Butcher for its crispy bacon and then stuffing it between the fluffy pancakes. A mix of savory and sweet, it comes with chocolate maple syrup if you’re down with a little choco-bacon action.
But, the deliciousness doesn’t stop there.
Blinders offers heaps of other tasty brunch eats like GG’s Banana Bread French Toast which taps into a family recipe. This sweet plate comes topped with coconut cream and bananas.
They’ve also got other signature items like their Hatch Chili SW Burrito stuffed with tofu, beans, potatoes, hatch chilis (obvs) and salsa and topped with cilantro, sour cream and guac, their Bloody Mary BLT with cheddar and mozzarella, and garnished with Bloody Mary-style olive, pickle and jalapeño, and the Overnight Oats Trio featuring pumpkin spice, apple pie and cherry almond flavors.
In addition, the brunch menu includes traditional staples like biscuits and gravy, tofu scramble and pancakes. And, true to their name, Blinders also serves up a Breakfast Monster Burger.
Come hungry because you’re also going to want to start off with their tater tots, which are served smothered with a carrot cheese sauce, ranch dressing and bacon bits. Or, try their buffalo cauliflower wings or Virgin Cheese plate.
For booze, Blinders serves quite a few options including their Brewed Mary — a Bloody Mary mixed with hoppy IPA, a Mr. Mimosa (think IPA and champagne), Mimosa and the Raspberry Sparkler, champagne with raspberry puree.
Northwest Las Vegas, congrats on your score. We’re not jealous in the least. Right.
